Visual “What-if” Analysis Wizard: GesFin continues to provide the most advanced planning scenario capabilities on the market. The scenario wizard allows business users to dynamically create new scenarios from existing data. Users can graphically adjust financial and operational drivers or assumptions to account for changes in market, operational or financing conditions. The new scenario is immediately incorporated to the database for further modeling, reporting and analysis.Advanced MS Excel capabilities: GesFin now provides a synchronized MS Excel Add-In for off-line processing and ad-hoc analysis that also incorporates workflow control, auditing, and business rules to control data entry. GesFin’s Excel Add-in allows users and administrators to perform all tasks, both end user and administrative, in Excel with no loss of functionality from the Web. Now users have the option of using Excel, the Web, or both. The Excel Add-In allows users to create, modify, and manage data in a familiar spreadsheet format. Users can add rows, columns, values, formulas and charts to the form. The form can be taken off-line for input or ad-hoc analysis and then published back to the centralized GesFin server when ready. These leading edge user interface capabilities are unmatched in the marketplace.
Excel Based Forms Wizard: New capability for users to design, create, and edit web based forms from MS Excel Interface in addition to our standard web interface.
Profitability Analysis Wizard: GesFin now provides users with the ability to easily assess the profitability of products, divisions, regions, and more in a graphical, point and click interface. GesFin 4.1 provides profitability analysis dashboards that can be created from any component within the model by the business user without programming.
Sophisticated Audit Control: GesFin provides audit down to the individual cell level with history of user changes to each value. In addition, GesFin provides an audit trail for all workflow tasks, including budget/forecast approvals, steps, timeframes, and durations.
Formula Trace: A best-in-class formula drill down/up capability has been added. Users may now drill up or down from planning data into calculated values and formulas. This allows the user to update, correct, or view the details behind how values are derived and calculated on a single screen.
Geographical Map Visualization: GesFin now includes the capability to provide geographical map visualization, similar to Google Maps, including zoom in/out features, for analyzing performance, planning, or tracking workflow.
Unique MicroStrategy Offering: GesFin is the only CPM solution completely integrated into the MicroStrategy business intelligence (BI) platform. This integration is so seamless from a look and feel perspective that users cannot tell any difference between GesFin and MicroStrategy BI. It simply looks and performs as another project within MicroStrategy’s user portal.
Other enhancements: Additional GesFin 4.1 enhancements include an improved formula wizard, support for additional calendar formats, and accommodation of more flexible planning periods.
