Laurens Albada is a seasoned finance executive with over 12 years of experience in financial leadership, planning and auditing functions. Prior to joining Carpio Solutions, Laurens was vice president of finance for two major business units of Misys Healthcare Systems, a leading provider of software and services for physicians. After revamping the financial planning process of the Hospital Systems business unit, Laurens successfully integrated the $49M Payerpath acquisition, driving financial success that exceeded the business’ commitments. Prior to joining Misys, Laurens was a senior director at Icoria, a public biotechnology company based in RTP, North Carolina, where his responsibility spanned controllership, planning, and analysis. Laurens started his career at General Electric, where he held roles of increasing responsibility on the Corporate Audit Staff, a renowned leadership development program.

Laurens received a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA in international studies from Thunderbird, the American School of International Management. Laurens was born in Trinidad and Tobago.
