Marco Fregenal
Marco Fregenal is a seasoned Software and Services executive with over 20 years of experience in leading high growth companies both in the US and Latin America. As CEO of Carpio, Marco is responsible for leading the diverse and multi cultural executive team to implement its strategy and exceeding the company’s goals. Prior to founding Carpio, Marco was the President and COO of Ultimus Inc, a leading BPM software company. Marco led the company to over 800% growth in 6 years, increasing its customer base to over 1,500 customers and the opening of 18 offices around the world. Prior to joining Ultimus, Marco co-founded HowStuffWorks.com, the leading e-learning and reference web site on the Internet.

Before his tenure with HowStuffWorks, Marco spent 6 years in the telecom arena with Pagenet where he co-founded and served as COO of PAGENET Brazil. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Pagenet New York.

Marco has received an Economics degree from Rutgers University and a Masters in Econometrics from Monmouth University. Marco was born in Brazil and speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.


Gary Nusbaum
Mr. Nusbaum joined Palladium Equity Partners in 2006 and serves as a Managing Director. He has more than 15 years of experience in private equity and asset management. From 1989 – 2002, Mr. Nusbaum was at the Private Equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he was a Managing Director. At Warburg Pincus, Mr. Nusbaum had responsibility for more than 20 investments including companies in the media, telecommunications, retail, healthcare, environmental, and logistics sector.

Gary worked in the firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices, and opened and ran its São Paulo office. From 2003-2005, Mr. Nusbaum served as a Managing Director of Aetos Capital, an asset management firm. At Aetos, he served as Chief Financial Officer, headed its private equity business, and was a member of the investment committee for the firm’s Japan-focused real estate fund, Aetos Capital Asia. Mr. Nusbaum is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1988 and a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business in 1989. He has served as a board member for several public and private companies.


Tim Buckley
Tim is the former chief operating officer for Red Hat (Nasdaq:RHAT) the world's premier open source and Linux provider. As COO, Tim used his insight to accelerate the momentum of open source and expand Red Hat's worldwide business, service and support operations. Prior to Red Hat, Tim was senior vice president of worldwide sales at Seattle-based Visio Corporation, where he was instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to a public company that was acquired by Microsoft for $1.5 billion.
Richard Holcomb
Richard is a leading entrepreneur in the Research Triangle area. He was a founder of HAHT Commerce in 1995, a major E-Commerce application provider, and served as HAHT's first CEO and Chairman. Prior to HAHT, he was a founder of Q+E Software in 1986, a supplier of client-server database access technology, and served as that company's CEO, president, and chairman from inception to its acquisition by Intersolv in 1994. During his career, Mr. Holcomb has won several awards including the 1993 Ernst and Young Technology Entrepreneur of the Year for North Carolina and the 1996 Business Leader Top Gun Entrepreneur of the Year.
